Antenatal Assessment

Confirm your pregnancy properly, scan, blood tests and a plan, in one visit.

The Antenatal Assessment is a comprehensive, standalone first-pregnancy assessment with specialist oversight. In a single appointment we confirm your dates with an ultrasound, run your baseline blood tests, assess your risk profile, and hand you a personal care plan for the months ahead. You don't need to be on our maternity programme to book it, it stands on its own, and it's the ideal first step if you're deciding where to have your baby.

Antenatal Assessment

Who it's for

  • Newly pregnant women (ideally weeks 6 to 10) who want a thorough, specialist-grade start to their pregnancy
  • Women comparing maternity options before committing to a programme or hospital
  • Anyone who has had a positive home test and wants clinical confirmation with real answers

What's included

  • Full medical, obstetric and family history with a risk assessment
  • Dating ultrasound scan, confirms your due date and that the pregnancy is developing where and how it should
  • Baseline blood tests, blood group, haemoglobin, infection screening and the other essentials
  • Blood pressure and general health check
  • A written personal care plan: your visit schedule, which scans and screens to have and when, and any risks to watch

How it works

  1. Book, send us your last period date and we'll schedule you at the right gestation.
  2. Attend, the assessment takes one visit at our Johannesburg or Pretoria rooms.
  3. Leave with a plan, your results, your due date and your written care pathway, whatever you decide to do next.

The natural next step

Most women who complete the assessment continue into the NOH Maternity Programme, our flagship bundled maternity care from booking to six-week review. Your assessment findings carry straight into the programme, nothing is repeated.
